Sandahiru Stupa Sacred Pinnacle to reach Galle today

The ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa left Ahungalla Pulinathalaramaya today morning (Oct 02) amidst religious blessings.Accordingly, two revered articles on parade will reach the day’s destination, the Yatagala Raja Maha Viharaya in Unawatuna, Galle in the evening while passing Balapitiya, Ambalangoda, Madampagama, Hikkaduwa, Rathgama, Gintota, Piyadigama, Galle and Dewata Junction.

The parading of revered articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst religious blessings throughout the exposition.Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
